Education and TrainingThe objective of the Education and Training Program is to enhance the scientific and commercial skills of researchers in the Australian grains industry and to increase awareness of the value chain. The company provides opportunities for formal training in IP management and commercialisation as well as practical experience in working on innovative projects with world class researchers. The Education and Training Program is led by Dr Nicole Rice from Southern Cross University. Grain Foods CRC offers very competitive Scholarships (full and top-up) to work on research projects within specific programs. Student projects are closely aligned with industry goals utilising co-supervisors from industry partners, or from different nodes within the CRC. The company's Research Directors and Platform Leaders have impressive track records within grains research, which combined with the collaborative culture of the CRC, enables students to complete their studies in a supportive and stimulating environment. Grain Foods has sponsored development of a commercially focused Graduate Certificate in Research Management through Southern Cross University. This course provides practical skills training in IP management and commercialisation. Workshops in research management are also provided either as in-house or open workshops.
