Organisations can partner with the company in several ways: as a core partner, a supporting partner or as contractors of research and business services.
Core Partners
Core partners are our principal shareholders and form the foundation of the company. As core participants, CRC investors become part owners of all derived technologies and products. In addition core partners have a first right of refusal in the commercialisation of new products and in the direction of the research effort.

As well as being a core investor, SCU provides Grain Foods CRC with research services at the Centre for Plant Conservation Genetics. This Centre is a world leader in the development of applied plant genomics, gene characterisation, genetic fingerprinting and genetic transformation. The University is also a provider of education services for the CRC based on its accredited Graduate Certificate in Research Management.

Australian Commonwealth Government Cooperative Research Centres Programme

The CRC Program was established in 1990. The objective of the Program is "to enhance Australia's industrial, commercial and economic growth through the development of sustained, user-driven, cooperative public-private research centres that achieve high levels of outcomes in adoption and commercialisation." The CRC Programme links researchers with industry to focus R&D efforts on progress towards utilisation and commercialisation.
