Investment Options

Core Partners

Through direct investment in the Grain Foods CRC, core partners have access to world class scientific and commercialisation capabilities in the development of projects that are of interest to them. Under the Centre Agreement core partners are entitled to a first right of refusal to commercialise the CRC's intellectual property as part of the Commercialisation Process. In addition, core partners take equity in the value and growth of the total commercialisation portfolio and its resultant revenue stream.

It is a feature of Grain Foods CRC that in order to avoid intra value chain conflicts, only one core investor from each step in the value chain is selected. This ensures that each core partner is assured of maximum leverage of their investment and an ability to work cooperatively with other partners.

Supporting Partners

Through selected investments in particular projects supporting partners are able to leverage their investment and gain access cutting edge R&D. In special circumstances and with the approval of core investors and the Board a first right of refusal to commercialisation rights can be made available.

Contract Research

Based on the unique nature of the collective research capability that has been assembled within Grain Foods, opportunities exist to contract the company to provide research and business services.

External Investors

Once a technology has reached the final stage in the Commercialisation Process it can be made available to external investors via a number of different mechanisms. Through licensing arrangements or the establishment of spin off companies there are opportunities for external investors to benefit from Grain Foods CRC unique intellectual property.
