Graduate Certificate in Research Management

To assist the professional development of researchers in both the public and private sectors, Southern Cross University and Grain Foods CRC have worked together to offer a Graduate Certificate in Research Management. The course is designed to give researchers the edge in streamlining their management of research enabling them to better understand the business implications of the work they do.

Covering topics such as project management and organisation, intellectual property management and commercialisation, researchers can gain accreditation towards an MBA while enhancing their professional development.

The Graduate Certificate course consists of 4 units:-

• 2 core units (IP Management & Commercialisation, and Project Management), and
• 2 elective units (units that fine tune research and/or business skills).

All students are enrolled part-time and most candidates will complete the graduate certificate within 12 to 18 months. The course is run in a distance education format with students working at their own pace.

Scholarships

Grain Foods CRC offers competitive Scholarships to staff of its core partners to complete the Certificate, as do other organisations. It is possible to enrol using FEE-help or subsidies as necessary.
